Delete your account

You are in control of your account. Here is how to delete it and what happens next.

In the app

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Choose Settings, then Delete account.
  3. Make sure your wallet balance is ₦0.
  4. Enter the SMS code we send to your phone and confirm.

If you cannot open the app

Email support@payonetime.ng from the address on your account, or message us on WhatsApp, with the phone number registered to your account and the words "delete my account". We will confirm it is you before we act.

What happens

  • Your profile, passcode, saved numbers and device details are deleted.
  • You are signed out everywhere and cannot sign back in.

What we keep, and why

  • Records of past transactions and payments are kept for the period required by Nigerian financial and tax rules, and to resolve disputes and prevent fraud.
  • These records are not used for anything else.
Deleting is permanent.A deleted account cannot be recovered. Spend your balance first.
